The Black Keys hit meteoric fame after the release of 'El Camino' in 2012. Prior to that release, they were starting to perform amphitheaters and outdoor venues after the release of 'Brothers' in 2011. It was the very start of them changing from the secret band that you felt cool knowing about, to the blockbuster sold-out arena band we know today. For me, the 'Brothers' tour was my first exposure to The Black Keys live. A friend of mine started getting me into them after the 'Brothers' release and
I was instantly hooked. My buddy visited me in Chicago the weekend of this show and we headed out to Indy to check them out. What an experience it was getting to see them own the outdoor venue. They were on the verge of busting out and we got to experience that. Since this show, I've been an obsessive Black Keys fan.
